Building on over 20 years experience working within the NHS across a variety of organisations from primary care, which includes a community mental health trust; acute services for two large teaching hospitals; and, a Strategic Health Authority, Corinne is now a Freelance Education Consultant.
From joining the NHS as an ICT Project Manager, Corinne developed her interest, knowledge and skills in education, training and development; encompassing the individual, team and organisational development.
Corinne’s professional development has provided insight into the private and public sector, and academia, including working as an independent contractor and researcher.

Achievements include:

  • The setting up of a Simulation Facility at King’s College Hospital in response to the patient safety and multi-disciplinary education agenda; accumulating in recognition at the 2012 London Deanery Simulation Conference.
  • The introduction of successful Leadership programmes across the range of clinical staff, from Foundation Years to Consultants, AHPs, nursing and management grades.
  • The introduction of a `coaching and mentoring scheme at Kings College Hospital developed for trainees and trainers alike; unlocking potential, with 100 people who are trained and providing mentoring. This is now being dovetailed with a wider Trust scheme.
  • Development of a new Postgraduate Certificate in Healthcare Education Management accredited by King’s College London (KCL).
